Maybe it is because they are so active in their nature, maybe we will never know, but it is not too surprising that the Zebra Danio is helping scientists to discover some new information while researching cancer. The article is very interesting, and can be found here. Several parallels between the Danio and human beings on a genetic level, as well as a tendancy to develope similar tumors, offers scientists an opportunity compare issues causing the tumors.
